| Cardigan - H&M necklace —forever 21(discontinued) |
A little black dress is one of my favourite pieces to wear for both day and night, for todays post I will showing you how I styled it for a simple warmer day. I got my dress from Ark in the sale for £5 as it was an absolute bargain. I thought this would be perfect for any college days where I was in a rush and I needed to throw something on with minimal effort. I love the rib material as it looks really flattering on any figure.
This light grey cardigan from H&M is perfect for lightening this outfit up because it contrasts with the harshness of the black and allowing it to be more casual. The necklace which was from Forever 21 a few years ago, sits quite low on the body adding a bit of colour to the outfit.
I paired this dress with my favourite chunky shoes from Dr.Martens, and some little white socks. I feel these give the outfit a doll like look as I used to wear shoes like this when I was little. These have a double sole making me look taller and they add depth to the shoe. I also like wearing tights with this outfit when the weather is a little cooler and even thought they are dark they don't take the attention away from the dress.
