Makeup Haul…

A few weeks ago I went to Cheshire oaks for the first time after many recommendations, I went into the cosmetics store as this was something I was very interested in. Here I bought three of the items that are in the post. However, as these were bought at a discount I can't tag the actual website but I'll tag where you can buy them elsewhere.

Double Wear Foundation

Estée Lauder double wear foundation
I have been looking for a new high end foundation because I wanted to use something with a higher coverage for nights out or events to make my skin look perfect. I was actually looking into buying this foundation but I wouldn't because of the price as it was too expensive. However at Cheshire oaks I got this for £20.75 instead of £29.50.  I got shade pebble and it's a perfect match for me. The coverage is amazing, one layer is only needed to achieve full coverage and it isn't cakey looking or thick on the skin and it feels really lightweight. The only problem I find is it is very hard to remove, this could also be a positive because you want it to last all day and night.

BB Cream Light

L'oreal BB Cream - Light
I've had this BB cream before in shade medium, this is perfect when I'm on holiday or when I've got back and I have a tan. It's so lightweight but the coverage is very good for a BB cream I've tried this and I like wearing it for work or when I know I'm going to be in a hot environment. Even though it's the 'light' shade it can look a little orange, even on me and I have olive skin. I don't think this would be as suitable for someone who had very pale skin.
L'Oreal True Match

L'oreal True Match

This foundation has been one I've been looking at as I've seen Lauren Curtis on YouTube raving about it for a while. I tried the colour in store to test what shade I was and I found I was C2 rose beige. I like how this foundation isn't full coverage as its perfect for a daily look because it's not too extreme as its natural looking.
Mac Soft and Gentle
Mac Mineralize Highlighter - Soft & Gentle
This item is an absolute gem, it's my new favourite makeup item that I own. I know it doesn't look amazing when its in the compact, however when its on the skin it looks so so beautiful, it's a pink champagne colour with peach undertones and the way it reflects off the light makes the skin look really healthy and glowy. full review will be up soon.

Prep and Prime
Mac Prep and Prime - Face Protect
this is another item from Cheshire oaks: i was firstly a bit unsure whether to get this item when i first saw it because the tester just looked like sun cream and it smelt like it too. however, when i applied it on the back of my hand it made my hand so smooth and it felt really hydrating; so i took the opportunity and bought it. since then I've been using it pretty much everyday and my skin feels more hydrated.
*note* after reading the reviews on their website this products formula has changed and my review does not reflect the new formula*

Mac Concealer - NC 15
Mac Pro Longwear Concealer - NC 15
I wanted a really good highlighting concealer that I could use to highlight my face with whilst contouring in depth a little bit. Whilst in Mac I saw this one and went for the lightest colour as I am NC 25 anyway, it was only a few shades lighter than my actual skin colour. I tried this in store again and I loved how it covered up a scar on the back of my hand, the consistency is quite runny however, it blends in really well but when it sets it literally doesn't move.

Estée Lauder Pure Color Stay-On Shadow Paint

This Stay-On Shadow Paint again was from Cheshire oaks and it was discounted to £14 from £20. I've wanted to try paint pots for a while so I got this browny copper one in the colour - Chained. This is lovely, best applied with my finger as the colour appears brighter and more pigmented. When applied with a brush it can look a little sheer but it's nice to blend into the crease.
Color Tattoo 24HR - Pink Gold

After getting the Estée Lauder paint pot I fell in love with the style and look it gave effortlessly. This Maybelline colour is a shimmery pink which fades nicely in my skin when blended. I prefer this one for day time looks as it really does brighten the eye really quickly.
