This is the perfect step by step guide to achieve that perfect winged eyeliner. I have winged eyeliner everyday so my technique has become extremely practiced throughout that!
For my eyeliner I used a near empty e.l.f waterproof pen eyeliner as this creates a faint template I can use easily. To then fill in and complete the look I will use the Collection Extreme Felt Tip Liner. (check out my full review for the collection eyeliner here)
1. Start off with a really thin eyeliner, I recommend using a pen for this as you can draw a perfect line really easily! I angle my pen so its in line with the outer corner of my eye leading up to the end of my eyebrow. The length of this line is entirely up to you how long or thick you want to have your eyeliner.
2. When you have drawn your line go about half way down from the top of the line and do a curved sweep onto your lid creating the wing. This bit can take a bit of practice but if you position your eye half open you can achieve this easily.
3. When this is completed you can start drawing your eyeliner properly on your lid you can either start with the eyeliner being directly in the inner corner or just where your eyelashes start. I prefer to do it where my eyelashes start as this will make my eyes look more rounded.
4. You can now begin to fill in any of the gaps that you haven't filled already, the best product to use here is a matte eyeliner as the shiny/satin ones tend to transfer to the top of your eye lid. To finish then use your favourite mascara to coat your lashes to make your eye appear bolder. To emphasise your eyes further you could add extra eyeliner underneath your eye (not in the waterline as this will make your eyes appear smaller) however, by adding a neutral eyeliner into the waterline this will make them look wide awake.
